The Operations Team at Cyber Defense Group is full of action-oriented problem-solvers collaborating across all departments to make sure the company runs in a manner to provide customers with a truly enhanced experience.

Sales & marketing

The sales team are the hustlers of Cyber Defense Group. We work the phones and hit the streets to create a personalized experience for our customers. We’re looking for team members with a passion for the cybersecurity industry who believe in working as a coordinated unit and supporting each other in delivering value to our customers.

The marketing team are the communicators of our message, using creativity, technology, and digital and traditional media to convert our audience into clients. If you’re a marketing professional looking to grow a brand from the ground up, this is the place for you.

Engineering & delivery

The engineering team is the backbone of defense for Cyber Defense Group. In this department, we identify threats and vulnerabilities in our clients’ systems and software, then apply our expertise to develop and implement high-tech solutions to defend against all types of cybercrime. Head of Channel Marketing

Position Overview

Own partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline across the Technology Solutions Distributor (TSD) ecosystem. Build and lead the partner channel marketing engine—strategy, campaigns, enablement, and operations—for cybersecurity services around our unique value proposition. You are both strategist and operator and will use agencies and contractors where it accelerates outcomes. This role carries a revenue number shared with Sales.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead partner marketing and enablement programs across TSDs and key partners, defining and executing the strategy and aligning cross-functionally to achieve
    CDGs business objectives.
  • Develop and execute quarterly joint marketing plans within the Channel.
  • Develop compelling content and brand positioning that enables our partners, clarifies CDGs unique value proposition, and successfully captures our ICP.
  • Manage and execute partner event calendar (12+ channel/industry events per year). Expectation is you will be on-site for the majority.
  • Drive partner pipeline and deal registration metrics; report on influence and ROI.
  • Manage (1) internal marketing coordinator resource and external vendors to deliver on channel enablement assets.
  • Collaborate with RevOps for reporting and Salesforce data integrity and optimization.
  • Key Outcomes

  • Hit pipeline and revenue targets for TSD-sourced and partner-influenced opportunities by segment and vertical.
  • Deliver positive ROI with our channel partners, relentlessly optimizing.
  • Drive thought leadership through initiatives such as research reports and media opportunities.
  • In partnership with Sales, establish a predictable GTM motion for our channel partners, reducing CAC, improving lead→SQL conversion, shortening sales cycle, increasing deal velocity and ACV.
  • Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and coach one marketing coordinator plus any agency or contractor resources supporting content, design, or RevOps.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Channel leadership to align co-marketing plans, deal registration efforts, and partner event execution.
  • Collaborate with Delivery and Product teams to ensure partner enablement materials accurately reflect CDG’s offerings and differentiators.
  • Coordinate with the CRO and external vendors to integrate partner campaigns with the broader go-to-market plan.
  • Present channel marketing performance and actionable insights to the CRO and executive team on a quarterly basis.
  • Qualifications

  • 7–10 years in B2B marketing, including 3–5 years in channel or partner marketing, preferably within the Technology Services Distributor (TSD) ecosystem (Avant, Telarus, Sandler, Intellysis, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success developing co-marketing programs and enablement assets that drive measurable partner-sourced or influenced pipelines.
  • Proven experience managing partner events, MDF budgets, and joint campaigns across multiple TSD networks.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, and analytics platforms (GA4, Looker Studio); able to interpret data and communicate insights but not responsible for deep system configuration.
  • Strong skills in project management, communication, and vendor coordination; able to manage multiple concurrent channel initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to craft and adapt messaging for partner-facing materials.
  • Experience managing small marketing teams and external vendors to deliver campaigns on time and within a smaller budget.
  • Experience with services / solutions selling and cybersecurity is preferred.

  • Growth of marketing-sourced channel partner pipeline, net new customers and ACV.
  • Increase in sales velocity (shorter deal cycles).
  • Partner engagement rate (enablement adoption, deal registration participation).
