Position Overview

We are looking for a Security Engineer who possesses a strong passion for continuous learning and a deep curiosity for all things security. Joining as our second Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Delivery team by conducting technical security assessments for our clients. This involves delving into their accounts, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and effectively communicating these findings through written reports and client calls. Additionally, depending on your strengths and interests, there are various other opportunities available, such as penetration testing and dev ops. Rest assured, our Director of Engineering, a seasoned industry veteran with 20 years of experience, will provide guidance and support to help you develop your security skill set.

Skills you have

• You have 5 years of experience in secure cloud engineering working with cloud/PaaS technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networks, both traditional and software-defined, in Cloud environments, and network security engineering best practices.
• Operational knowledge of orchestration/configuration as code technologies (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform).
• Experience in using scripting languages such as Python, BASH, or GO to automate tasks and manipulate data.
• Deployment and used log management solutions such as SumoLogic, ELK, and/or Splunk

In your role, you will

• Develop and Implement secure cloud architecture in AWS, GCP and Azure.
• Implement logging and monitoring solutions for CDG clients
• Develop and implement automated vulnerability management programs
• Implement secure Kubernetes deployments
• Lead in threat modeling exercises to help clients evolve cloud technologies
• Assess, design, and implement various processes and controls of the company’s core corporate infrastructure/network security
• Create clear and concise documentation to formalize security processes
• Constantly strive to learn and understand the bleeding edge of cloud architecture and security.

Compensation and benefits

$100,000 to $150,000 base with bonus opportunity.
